Queensland Floods Expedition (3 days) ex Melbourne

The recent floods across western Queensland have brought an extraordinary volume of water into our country’s arid interior – water that is now slowly making its way towards Lake Eyre. At Innamincka, flood levels have peaked at 2 metres above the previous 1974 record of 7 metres. Towns such as Birdsville and Innamincka have become virtual islands, cut off by road but still accessible by air.
